United Methodist Church of Livonia (UMCL), is a community of Christ followers.  Each of us is on a journey in our walk of faith, but no matter where we are, each step brings with it the opportunity to grow in faith and as a community.  At UMCL you will find people who are committed to walking with you as you grow in love and knowledge of God, made known to us in the person of Jesus Christ.

Our journey together can fulfill the mission God has placed before us: to make disciples and change the world.  It all begins with relationships: with God, each other, and our community.

When you worship with us, you will experience lots of singing, unison prayers, reading the Word, and a message.  Music may include a blend of contemporary and traditional music.  All the worship elements are used to reinforce the message of the service. Read More 

 

 

 

Grow

We believe one of the marks of a disciple of Jesus is growth in knowledge of God and God’s Word through Bible Study.  While personal study of Scripture is encouraged, there is power in studying Scripture with other believers.  Group study brings us to a deeper and richer understanding of God’s Word.  We offer programs for adults, children and youth.

 

 

 

Serve

Jesus is our example.  He came to serve, heal, and minister to all people.  Although some ministries of the church are readily visible, other service to those in need is done quietly.  Read More

COVID protocol update 5/1/21:  Masks are required whenever in the church.  Distanced seating remains in affect during worship services, however masks may be removed when seated during worship.  Congregational singing is allowed providing a mask is worn.  Be guided by your own level of comfort.  Please wear a mask if that makes you feel the safest.     Read more on UMCL COVID protocol.
